A Summerville woman allegedly changed her last name, Social Security number and birth date in an effort to get prescription medications — later stating she only changed her last name because she was recently divorced, reports from Floyd County Law Enforcement stated

Wendy Gaye Cantrell, 49, of 373 Dry Creek Rd. in Summerville, was arrested Sunday at 11:30 p.m. by the Rome Police Department and charged with one felony count each of forgery in the first degree and false statements, along with misdemeanor giving false name or address to law enforcement officers. She remained in jail Monday morning.
