Centre Man Killed After Crashing Into House |

A Centre man has died after injuries sustained following a one vehicle accident during which his Chevy Tahoe left Main Street near the Centre Fire Department, and ran through a yard, crashing into the side of a home. According to the Centre Police Department the driver of the vehicle has been identified as 40 year old Centre resident James Hayden, he was taken from the scene to fields at Cherokee County High School, where he was air-lifted to an area trauma center. The mishap occured just before 6:30 Tuesday evening with units from the Centre Police & Fire Departments, Cherokee EMS, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and the Cherokee County Sheriff`s Department responding to the scene. The accident remains under investigation |
