The month of October is jam packed with fun things to do in Chattooga County.  The public is  urged to support the upcoming events set for J. R. “Dick” Dowdy Park in Summerville beginning Oct. 2.The lineup begins with the annual Sum-Nelly Arts and Crafts Festival set Oct. 2. On Oct. 9, the annual Pets in the Park event will be held. On Oct. 16, the annual Sequoyah Arts, Crafts and Antiques Show is planned. On Oct. 23, the always popular Steamin’ Hot Stew and Chili Cook-Off is scheduled. On Oct. 30 a barbecue cook-off is scheduled. On Nov. 6-7, the annual Rattling Gourd Art Show is planned for the Chattooga County Civic Center.Come out and support your fellow countians as they sell their arts, crafts and food items. You may find that perfect Christmas or birthday gift.

The events will give families something to do on the weekends that is entertaining and fun for the whole family.
